African Women Development Network

Salome (Sally) Njau being a Christian widow herself, is dedicated to helping the widows of Kenya and surrounding towns.  AWDN founded by her is empowering these women by helping them with Mental Health, Education, Money Concerns, ETC. Please consider helping their cause like I have.  Just a small donation through PayPal does so much, please use (salomenjaug@gmail.com) Such as: Basic food commodities in a family of four(Mother and 3-4 children) would need:
1.5 packets of Maize Flour,  2.4 Kilograms of rice, 3.2 kilograms of green gram,  4.2 liters cooking oil, 5.2 kilograms of sugar 6.50 grams salt. USD 25 can buy basic commodities as outlined above excluding other essentials like cooking gas, charcoal or parrafin, soap etc depending on what the families use for cooking.
Alot of families live on hand to mouth and are not food secure. Majority depends on casual labour like washing clothes.
